Reflexology
A nurturing space to slow down, reconnect and restore
Life can ask a lot of us.
Stress, hormonal changes, pregnancy, motherhood, busy schedules and the emotional demands of everyday life can all leave us feeling tired, overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves.
Reflexology offers you an opportunity to pause.
Through gentle, therapeutic touch to specific points on the feet, reflexology encourages deep relaxation and gives your body and mind space to rest, reset and restore.
Whether you are navigating stress or anxiety, perimenopause and hormonal changes, pregnancy and motherhood, or simply feel that you need some time to look after your own wellbeing, my reflexology treatments offer a calm, nurturing space where you can simply be.

What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principle that different areas of the feet correspond with different areas and systems of the body.
During a treatment, gentle pressure and specialised reflexology techniques are applied to these areas of the feet.
Rather than treating or diagnosing a particular medical condition, reflexology takes a holistic approach to wellbeing. It is designed to encourage relaxation, support your overall sense of wellbeing and provide an opportunity for your nervous system to move away from the constant busyness of everyday life.
Many of us spend much of our time doing, thinking, organising and looking after everyone else.
Reflexology creates a little space to stop.
For many of my clients, that feeling of being able to completely switch off is one of the most valuable parts of their treatment.

What are the benefits of Reflexology?
Everyone experiences reflexology differently, and the reasons people come for treatment can vary enormously.
One of the most commonly reported experiences is a profound sense of relaxation.
A reflexology session may help you to:
-
Feel deeply relaxed and calmer
-
Take time away from everyday stress and responsibilities
-
Support your emotional wellbeing
-
Feel more grounded and connected to yourself
-
Create space for rest during periods of change
-
Support better sleep and relaxation
-
Ease feelings of tension and overwhelm
-
Prioritise your own wellbeing
-
Feel restored and refreshed after a busy or demanding period.
Some people book reflexology because they are going through a particular stage of life, while others simply recognise that they need more rest and space for themselves.
You don't need to wait until you are completely exhausted or overwhelmed before giving yourself permission to slow down.
Reflexology can become part of the way you regularly care for yourself.
Reflexology for Stress, Anxiety & Overwhelm
When life feels constantly busy, it can become difficult to truly switch off.
You may notice that even when you finally sit down, your mind is still racing.
You might feel tense, emotionally drained, restless or simply unable to relax.
Reflexology provides an hour where nothing is required of you.
There is nowhere you need to be and nothing you need to achieve.
The repetitive, gentle nature of reflexology can be incredibly soothing and many clients find themselves becoming deeply relaxed during their treatment — sometimes drifting in and out of sleep.
Regular reflexology can provide a valuable pause within a busy life, helping you create more moments of stillness, rest and reconnection.
Reflexology for Perimenopause & Hormonal Changes
Perimenopause can be a time of enormous physical and emotional change.
Alongside changes to your menstrual cycle, you may find yourself navigating disrupted sleep, changes in mood, increased stress, fatigue or simply a sense that you don't quite feel like yourself.
It can also arrive at a particularly demanding stage of life, when many women are balancing careers, family, caring responsibilities and their own changing needs.
Reflexology cannot treat or cure perimenopause, but it can offer something that is often missing during this stage of life: dedicated time to rest and be supported.
My approach to reflexology during perimenopause is gentle and individual. Your treatment is shaped around how you are feeling that day, giving you space to slow down, reconnect with your body and support your wider wellbeing as you move through this transition.
Reflexology During Pregnancy & Motherhood
Pregnancy brings extraordinary changes to both body and mind.
Pregnancy reflexology offers a quiet, nurturing space where you can step away from preparations, appointments and everyday responsibilities and simply focus on yourself and your baby.
Treatments are adapted appropriately for your stage of pregnancy and are designed to encourage relaxation and support your general wellbeing.
That need for care doesn't disappear once your baby arrives.
Motherhood can involve constantly giving your time, attention and energy to someone else. Reflexology can offer mothers something very simple but incredibly important — an hour where you are the person being cared for.
Reflexology for General Wellbeing
You don't need to have a particular reason for booking reflexology.
Sometimes you simply know that you need to stop.
Perhaps you've been busy for months.
Maybe you've been sleeping poorly, carrying emotional tension or feeling as though you're constantly rushing from one thing to another.
Or perhaps you simply enjoy how reflexology makes you feel.
Many people choose regular reflexology treatments as part of their wider approach to wellbeing — a chance to slow down, reconnect and give themselves intentional time for rest.
What Happens During a Reflexology Treatment?
When you arrive, we'll take some time to talk about how you've been feeling and anything you'd particularly like support with.
You'll then get comfortable while I begin your reflexology treatment.
You remain fully clothed apart from removing your shoes and socks, and gentle pressure is applied to different reflex points across your feet.
You don't need to talk during your treatment unless you want to.
This is your time.
Some clients like to chat for a little while before naturally becoming quieter.
Others close their eyes almost immediately and allow themselves to drift into a deeply relaxed state.
There is no right or wrong way to experience reflexology.
Afterwards, we'll allow a little time for you to gently come back into the room before you continue with your day.
Frequently Asked Questions About Reflexology
Does reflexology hurt?
Reflexology is generally a gentle and relaxing treatment. Occasionally an area of the foot may feel more sensitive than another, but the pressure can always be adjusted to suit you. Please let me know at any point if you would prefer a lighter or firmer touch.
What should I wear for reflexology?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You remain fully clothed throughout your treatment and only need to remove your shoes and socks.
How will I feel after reflexology?
Everyone is different. Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, calm or sleepy following their treatment, while others feel refreshed and energised. Where possible, it can be lovely to give yourself a little extra space after your appointment rather than rushing straight back into a busy schedule.
How often should I have reflexology?
There isn't one schedule that suits everyone.
Some clients come for reflexology when they feel they need additional support, while others prefer regular treatments as part of their ongoing wellbeing routine.
We can talk about what feels appropriate for you without any pressure to commit to a particular number of treatments.
Can reflexology help with stress and anxiety?
Reflexology is not a treatment for an anxiety disorder, but many people find the experience deeply relaxing. Creating regular opportunities to slow down and receive nurturing therapeutic touch can be a valuable part of supporting emotional wellbeing and managing everyday stress.
Can reflexology help during perimenopause?
Reflexology cannot treat or cure perimenopause, but it may be used as a complementary therapy alongside your wider healthcare and self-care. Many women particularly value the relaxation, quiet and dedicated time for themselves that a treatment provides.
Is reflexology safe during pregnancy?
Reflexology can be adapted for pregnancy, but it is important to let me know that you are pregnant when booking and to share any relevant health information. If there are any concerns about your pregnancy, I may recommend speaking with your midwife or healthcare professional before treatment.
Do I need to believe in reflexology for it to work?
No. You don't need to believe in anything or approach your treatment in a particular way.
You can simply arrive, get comfortable and enjoy an hour dedicated to rest and relaxation.
Give Yourself Permission to Pause
So often, we wait until our bodies are exhausted before we listen to what they have been asking for.
Reflexology offers a different way.
A chance to pause before you reach that point.
A quiet space to step away from everything you carry, reconnect with yourself and receive the same care and attention that you so readily give to others.
If you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, navigating hormonal changes or pregnancy, or simply longing for some time to yourself, you're very welcome here.
Book your reflexology treatment and give yourself the space to slow down, rest and reconnect.
